The top big man that we saw at Impact Basketball‘s Las Vegas campus was Norfolk State’s Kyle O’Quinn. Fresh off of his MVP performance at the Portsmouth Invitational, he carried over the buzz that began with his 26 point, 10 rebound outing against Missouri in the NCAA Tournament into the pre-draft process.
The vocal leader and arguably the hardest worker of the group, O’Quinn’s charisma seemed to rub off to everyone who stepped foot in the gym in Vegas. At 6’10 with a 7’5 wingspan, the 22-year old has the size to play both power forward and center in the league. Showing off touch to the collegiate 3 point line, soft hands, and a rapidly improving game on the blocks, it was easy to see why he is gaining some serious interest in the first round of tomorrow’s NBA Draft.
Kyle was selected with the 49th overall pick of the 2012 NBA Draft by the Orlando Magic.
