The best pure shooter that we saw at Impact Basketball was Georgetown’s Hollis Thompson. Entering the Draft after his junior season, he surprised some but little did they know that he played the ladder half of the season with a hernia. Finally receiving treatment, Thompson was only about 70% when we saw him. Relegated to primarily catch and shoot drills mixed in with a little ball handling, it was easy to see what NBA teams like in him. He can play either wing position at 6’8 and has a better game off the dribble than people give him credit for. Hollis is firmly in the second round mix of tomorrow’s NBA Draft.
Hollis signed a three year contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder after going undrafted.
