DeMarcus Cousins is coming off of a dominating season that saw him make the NBA All-Star Team for the first time and appears to have been putting in some work during the off season. While the enigmatic post has all of the moves on the blocks, he has been showing since his high school days that he can also put in work from the perimeter. He reminded fans of that during the Kentucky vs North Carolina Alumni Game.
In front of a sold out crowd at Rupp Arena, “Boogie” poured in a stat line of 33 points, 18 rebounds, and 6 assists. He drilled five three pointers, handled the rock in the open floor, and showed off the type of charisma that has made him a fan favorite throughout the league. Kings owner Vivek Ranadive and GM Vlade Divac were in attendance showing Cousins (along with Willie Cauley-Stein) the support of the franchise.
