Playing for the absolutely stacked squad that is known as Lone Peak, Nick Emery finds himself a part of what many Utah basketball analysts feel may be the greatest team in the history of the state. Running the show as a point guard, the lefty is the catalyst who gives you an exciting blend of flare and incredibly deep shooting range. After being snubbed last year for Utah’s Mr. Basketball award as a senior, Emery has already established himself as the clear front runner for the award for 2013.
At the NBA Top 100 Camp and City of Palms, Emery shined. He led Lone Peak to the championship against Montverde and showed some added moves to his game. Aside from bombing his usual NBA threes, Emery showed a much improved ability to convert in the lane via creative takes and crafty lean-back floaters. Throw in his usual above average passing ability and you see why he’s expected to be a cog in what some feel will be the best BYU team in recent memory next season.

Just an FYI. Its pretty common knowledge that Nick Emery will be serving a LDS 2 year mission right out of high school and will not be attending BYU next season.
