Ranked amongst the top 25 sophomores by every major recruiting service, Wheeler’s Jaylen Brown has the potential to be the next big guard out of Georgia. He is a part of a 2015 class in the peach state that has the talent to rival anyone in the country. Daniel Giddens, Noah Dickerson, Ravion Bell, Willie Jackson, and Jerron Love all have received a bit of attention, but there is no better scorer in ’15 than Brown.
At 6’5, he has the versatility to play all three perimeter positions and is a matchup nightmare. Possessing the handle and vision of a point guard, he’s got the natural scoring instincts of a wing player with his ability to score from beyond the arc, mid-range,and at the rim with a variety of finishes. Mix in some serious leaping ability and you see why he was one of the better freshman guards we saw over the spring and summer.
