The debate of who the top team in Virginia is begins and ends with the annual Oak Hill vs Hargrave scrimmage. While Oak Hill boasts a roster full of traditional four year high school students, Hargrave accepts post-graduate students and none were better than Louisville recruit Terry Rozier.
While his team lost the scrimmage, Rozier was spectacular at times throughout his 33 point performance. The Cleveland native was much improved running the pick and roll, finishing in traffic, and showed much more effort on the defensive end. His added size (now around 6’2 and 185 pounds) and toughness (battled through severe cramps all game) really helped Terry finishing through contact, yet did not hurt his explosiveness one bit. He will always be more of a scoring point guard, so it should not come as a surprise that he struggled at times throughout the scrimmage with decision making and turnovers. Still, there is no question in our mind that Terry Rozier is the top post-grad player in the country and appears to be making strides in the right direction as a floor general.
